Golden Globe Winners

Last night's Golden Globes were surprisingly wonderful.  Surprisingly, I say, because hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler pretty much vanished after their killer monologue, leaving it to the presenters and winners to make the show worthwhile.  The HFPA did a nice job of shaking things up, with quite a few surprises (more on the TV side, but hey), and the winners largely knocked it out of the park with their speeches.  Most moving were the speeches given by Jill Solloway and Jeffrey Tambor for their Transparent wins, in which they payed homage to the trans community, including Solloway's own "moppa."

The biggest film surprises were The Grand Budapest Hotel beating Birdman after the latter had already taken two awards, and the correct pronunciation of Leviathan.
