Glen Keane's Duet

After writing up the Oscar-Nominated Animated Shorts (which just feels like it needs to be capitalized, grammar be damned), I feel the need to share this wonderful short, which plays in the program with the nominees as a commended film, which means "close but no cigar."  Duet, the directorial debut from master animator Glen Keane, who has worked on Disney features dating back to The Rescuers, is a stunning thing to behold.  The animation is gorgeous, the story simple but beautifully told, and the music perfectly fitting and magical.  Take a few minutes out of your day to bask in how amazing animation can be.
