Bridge of Spies Trailer

There have been lots of movies centered on the Cold War, but such historic events bear cinematic repeating: there are always more stories to be told, new perspectives to explore, and new talent to bring the past to life.  With Steven Spielberg at the helm, Tom Hanks and Amy Ryan leading the cast, a script cowritten by the Coen brothers and Matt Charman, Jamusz Kaminski as DP, and Thomas Newman scoring, Bridge of Spies looks to be a winner.  Hanks plays a Brooklyn lawyer who is recruited by the CIA to help broker an exchange that the government can't be seen to have a hand in.

Bridge of Spies opens October 16.  It's easy to get high on its Oscar prospects, but let's put that sort of talk aside and just get excited about a movie that looks really, really good.
