After Tim Burton's horrific take on the franchise a decade ago, it's difficult to muster much excitement for the latest Planet of the Apes film. Or, at least, it was before seeing this fantastic-looking trailer. James Franco, Andy Serkis, John Lithgow, Tom Felton, and Freida Pinto star in this prequel featuring effects work from the much-celebrated Weta Digital. Hopefully the film captures the same eeriness the trailer suggests; it looks like it could be a lot of creepy fun.
