Let it be known: I have a tremendous man-crush on Joseph Gordon-Levitt. His turn in 50/50 as a cancer patient looks like another great addition to JGL's recent run of good work, including his fantastic performances in (500) Days of Summer and Inception. With a supporting cast including Anna Kendrick and Seth Rogen, and what appears to be a better-balanced tone than the uncomfortable Funny People, which treaded similar waters recently, 50/50 looks to find the humor in one of the least funny situations imaginable without being disrespectful or cynical. I hope it's as successful as this trailer suggests it will be.
