Alfred Hitchcock: The Kuleshov Effect

With the Ace Eddie nominees being released yesterday, it seems like a good time to share this bit of filmic edutainment.

As a film student, I've been shown this video in two classes, and I suspect I'll see it again in the future.  It's a fun explanation of the Kuleshov effect, in which a given shot can take on various meanings when being juxtaposed with different shots.  It's the magic of editing in the words of one of the greatest filmmakers to ever live, Alfred Hitchcock.
