First up is this wonderfully 8-bit poster for Disney's forthcoming animated flick, Wreck-It Ralph. The titular Ralph is a video game villain who wants to try being a good guy for a change. When Ralph escapes from his arcade cabinet, he starts journeying through other video game worlds, and even meets with some villainous icons, including Bowser, Dr. Eggman, and M. Bison (from the Mario, Sonic, and Street Fighter universes, respectively). The film should prove a treasure trove of references for gamers, which is a nice change of pace, seeing as most video game-based movies are utterly skippable. Wreck-It Ralph smashes (I hate myself for that) into theaters November 2.
Next up is the poster for Lovelace, the forthcoming Linda Lovelace biopic starring Amanda Seyfried as the Deep Throat star. Seyfried is night unrecognizable in the poster; hopefully this will be the role that allows the talented young actress to really show what she can do. She's never gotten the star vehicle she deserves, so maybe delving into the world of porn, and later, the anti-pornography movement, will allow Seyfried to show what she has to offer. The film costars Wes Bentley, James Franco, Sarah Jessica Parker, and a host of others (just look at that list of names under the title), and should be in theaters by the year's end.
Finally, here's a poster you're not likely to want to hang in your room. I posted the trailer for Simon Pegg's forthcoming comedy A Fantastic Fear of Everything a few weeks ago, and now there's this funny but kinda-gross poster to get us excited for the June 8 release about a children's author who becomes a crime novelist. It's not quite as alluring as the Lovelace poster...
