Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert DeNiro, Chris Tucker, and Jacki Weaver star in David O. Russell's (The Fighter) Silver Linings Playbook. The film follows a teacher (Cooper) who moves back in with his parents when he is released from a mental institution.
Based on how successful The Fighter was during awards season, people are wondering if Silver Linings Playbook has similar aspirations. Based on the trailer, it doesn't look like it, though perhaps Lawrence could pull out a nomination. Of course, you can't completely count it out with The Weinstein Company behind it, though they'll probably be throwing the brunt of their force at The Master and Django Unchained. Time will tell.
Silver Linings Playbook opens November 21.
