Disney's animation department has been on a roll in recent years, offering up solid hits like Bolt, The Princess and the Frog, Tangled, and Winnie the Pooh. The trend looks to continue with November's Wreck-It Ralph, which chronicles a video game bad guy's decision to stop being bad. Aside from the fun but obvious takes on familiar genres like cutesy kart racers and sci-fi first-person shooters, the movie is chock-full of video game cameos, specifically in the villainous support group Ralph attends.
Video game adaptations rarely satisfy gamers, but it looks like Disney knows hot to hit the sweet spot, paying homage to the pastime while also delivering a fun story.
John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jane Lynch, and Jack McBrayer make up the voice cast.
Wreck-It Ralph hits theaters November 2.
