Sam Raimi brings Oz back to life... and it looks a lot like Alice in Wonderland. Hopefully the film won't be all hollow looks, and I don't think it will. With a great cast and some nods to the original book, Oz the Great and Powerful will hopefully be a winner. Love the transition from black and white to color, with the accompanying transition to widescreen. It's a fun trick.

I really like black and white footage but later on it seems too cartoonish for my taste. Can't wait to see the 3 lovely ladies in this, though.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that black and white footage is gorgeous, but Oz doesn't feel like Oz in these glimpses. Hopefully it all fits together in the finished film.
