Following last week's new poster, Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for Zack Snyder's Superman relaunch, Man of Steel. It looks like a gorgeous movie; say what you will about Snyder's career (and believe me, I have), but the man has a flair for stunning visuals, and a powerhouse superhero like Supes lends himself well to Snyder's grandiose aesthetic style.
While we've already had many takes on Superman's origin story, I'm excited to see how Man of Steel handles it. Based on the trailer, the film is delving deep into the character's psyche, with questions of morality and power, and it's clear that Warner Bros. is hoping the film will be a Dark Knight-style reboot that will ignite fans with passion for a hero who often gets dismissed for being overpowered and dull.
Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, and Russell Crowe. It hits theaters June 14, 2013.
