Wes Anderson's follow-up to the gorgeous Fantastic Mr. Fox is Moonrise Kingdom, about a pair of 12 year-olds (newcomers Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward) who run away together, throwing the town into a panic. Anderson regulars Jason Schwartzman and Bill Murray (looking very old and shirtless) are joined by Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Frances McDormand, and Tilda Swinton.
This first trailer is so very full of Anderson's trademark quirk, but it somehow still feels fresh. Perhaps it's because Anderson is truly an auteur - no one else makes movies the way he does. One has to imagine that Moonrise Kingdom will be one of the year's funniest, most offbeat delights. If nothing else, it at least is an early contender for the best trailer of the year.
