Entertainment Weekly has the first photos from Quentin Tarantino's hotly-
anticipated Django Unchained, a Western set in the plantation era South. The film follows former slave Django (Jamie Foxx), who is bought by German bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz) to help him track down a particularly tricky bounty. Schultz then helps Django track down his wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), who is being held by evil plantation owner Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio), who forces his slaves to participate in brutal gladiatorial battles.
If it sounds like quintessential Tarantino, that's because it is. In other words, it should be one of the year's best movies.
The film, which also co-stars Kurt Russell and Samuel L. Jackson, is the perfect movie to take your family to on Christmas Day.
