Martin McDonagh (In Bruges) is back with Seven Psychopaths, set to hit theaters October 12. The film follows a screenwriter (Colin Farrell, who won a Golden Globe for In Bruges) whose friends (Sam Rockwell and Christopher Walken) run a dog kidnapping business. When they kidnap a gangster's Shih Tzu, shit hits the fan as the titular psychopaths are all brought together.
The film also costars Woody Harrelson as the gangster, Tom Waits as the guy with the bunny, and Abby Cornish.
Based on In Bruges and this trailer, I expect Seven Psychopaths will be over-the-top, smart, and memorable. After all, the January release went on to get nominated for an Oscar for its screenplay, and such early releases are rarely remembered come awards season.
