Chadwick Boseman takes on the role of legendary baseball player Jackie Robinson in the forthcoming biopic 42, named, of course, for Robinson's number, which was later retired by all Major League Baseball teams. From the trailer, 42 looks to be a pretty straightforward entry in the genre, but the subject matter should be interesting enough to make the film worth a look. Harrison Ford plays Booklyn Dodgers general manager Branch Rickey, who hand-picked Robinson for the Dodgers' farm team. The cast also includes Christopher Meloni and Alan Tudyk.
42 opens April 12.
